INITIAL MOLD ASSESSMENT

POST REMEDIATION MOLD INSPECTION

What is an INITIAL MOLD ASSESSMENT?

The purpose of  an Initial Mold Assessment is to ascertain the extent of loss due to mold contamination and/or water damage in a property,  if any, and to gather the necessary information to provide an appropriate scope of work for remediation, if deemed necessary.  A Mold Assessment is performed by a qualified and experienced indoor environmental consultant

An assessment includes the evaluation of data obtained from a building history and assessment in order to formulate an initial hypothesis about the origin, identity, location and extent of amplification of mold contamination.  If necessary, a sampling plan is developed, and samples are collected and sent to a qualified, accredited laboratory for analysis.  The subsequent data is interpreted by the indoor environmental professional.  Then the indoor environmental professional will develop a mold remediation plan to be followed by the remediation contractor.
